Your Mitutoyo CMM should measure, not wait for programs. CSL writes and optimises CMM programs in Mitutoyo MCOSMOS — GEOPAK, CAT1000P/S and SCANPAK, up to complex parameter programs. Offline at our own workstation, commissioned on our own Mitutoyo machines in the CSL laboratory or on your system.

Commissioned where Mitutoyo is at home
CSL is an official measurement service provider of Mitutoyo and commissions MCOSMOS programs on its own Mitutoyo machines in the CSL laboratory. On request, we commission directly on your system.
Qualified measuring laboratory
Certified to ISO 9001. Commissioning takes place on our own Mitutoyo machines in the temperature-controlled measuring room. For suitable CMM measurements, measurement uncertainty is evaluated in accordance with ISO 15530-3 using calibrated workpieces.

The preferred working model for recurring demand: an agreed block of hours for programming and optimisation — a partnership instead of order by order. Uncomplicated call-off without repeated quoting, short response paths — plannable for both sides: your budget, our capacity.

Pilot series measured in Switzerland — quality assurance secured abroad
A customer closed its quality assurance in Switzerland — development and pilot-series assembly stayed at the site. CSL took over the measurements up to the launch and delivered CMM programs that today secure quality at the assembly site abroad.
1The customer closed quality assurance at the Swiss site — development and pilot-series assembly remained, but no in-house measuring capacity.
2CSL accompanied the prototype and pilot-series measurements as an external laboratory — the dimensional inspection ran in parallel with development.
3The CMM programs were written in Mitutoyo MCOSMOS — to the customer's precise template, instructions and drawing.
4After successful tests and the product launch, the CMM programs were transferred to the customer's assembly site abroad.
5There, the same machines with the same robust measurement now secure quality — reproducible and site-independent, in the spirit of the CSL Quality Gate.

What customers want to know before the project

Do you commission the program at our site?
Yes — by CSL on your machine or by you. MCOSMOS programs are additionally commissioned on our own Mitutoyo machines in the CSL laboratory.
Are styli and fixturing documented in the program?
Yes — the styli are stored in the program, the fixturing conditions are visible in the program, often to your specifications. Everything essential is in the program itself; we are happy to create additional documentation on request.
Do you offer a Q-DAS connection?
Yes — we connect Mitutoyo MCOSMOS to Q-DAS and populate the K-fields to your specifications. The same applies to Zeiss Calypso and Hexagon PC-DMIS.
Do you also design the measurement reports?
Yes — we set up the report layout to your specifications. On request, the program automatically files each report at the defined location — correctly named via variables such as article, order or serial number.
Who commissions the program and releases it?
Purely offline programs are commissioned and released by you — or we take over the commissioning as part of the order, on your machine or on our Mitutoyo machines in the CSL laboratory.
What cannot be conclusively verified offline?
Without the real machine, machine, stylus, fixturing and collision conditions remain assumptions from the simulation. That is exactly why commissioning is part of the process — it confirms or corrects these assumptions.
Is commissioning a validation?
No. Commissioning is neither a formal validation nor a measurement process capability study — that is a separate service according to VDA 5 or MSA.
What is the scope of delivery?
The agreed CMM program. After full payment it belongs to you — use, copy, modify and transfer it freely.
